Default What are you guys running for a Street/ Strip suspension setup.

I have my car set up more for the strip and I HATE all the clunking from the solid mounts, and solid bushings....

plus my setup still has the early 90's Stormin Norman launch bars.(they work)

running lakewood drag struts and shocks..... Im also looking at putting swaybars back on the car.....

What advise do you guys have for me to get my suspension up to date and to handle farily decent...... But I still want to pull a good 60' at the track when I take it there maybe 6 times a year.

Another question : BRAKES AND RIMS.....

What is the biggest Rim that I can Put on my 85 Fox body? My 8.8 is narrowed 3" total.... 1.5" per side.... right now I have 15X10 convo pros..... would like to go with an 18x10 in rear and 17x9 in the front...

If I can do this wheel size, what brakes are ideal to step up to ? reasonable priced!

    Thanks.
    Brent

Im thinking the FR500 Black with the polished dish would look good on here.... Yes or no???? let me know...... cool ?

poly bushing get beat up easy with lots of strip use. i deal with the noise for traction.

i have alot done to mine but there are several ways of doing it

i love the team z lowers with the adjustable brackets

mine has baseline offset double adjustable lowers with 5/8 bolts
    upr adjustable uppers (solid)
qa1 coil over, may be switching to afco's later
i will be switching to uprs extreme ARB.(the CE one is junk, stay away form it)
    all aje stuff up front

I have talked to Dave At Team Z.... Im pretty sure Im going with his rear upper and lowers.... I want to use somekind of rear anti sway bar that is street friendly...

Might Update my rear springs, been running 20 yr old 4 clyinder springs, I think they are shot... I was never happy with my Eibach drag springs....car sat higher on passenger side ,(hated it),,,,

    (I do have a D&D tubular K-Member that I forgot to mention.)

Not sure what spring to go with???

    thanks Guys.

coil over that use's a 12" spring (the taller the coil over the better from what im told) and a 130 -150 lb spring rating.

As Rob mentioned, I'd recommend at 130# or 150# spring depeding on how much weight you have up front. I've got a 150# spring on my UPR coil overs with Lakewood 90/10 up front and the car still sits too high in my opinion (now, don't look at the sig pic).
Some day I'll get it done.
