Default Problem with the Cobra this Morning

I decided that it would be a nice day to drive the Cobra. When I went to start it, it took longer than usual to turn over, and when it did, it almost stalled. I let it sit, but it sounded like a big block with a large cam in it, it was running so low. I turned it back off, and then on again. This time it sounded better.

The car had been sitting for a while. In fact, I think the last time I drove it was last Wednesday, (1 and a half weeks ago). I think it had about an eighth of a tank of gas. That was my guess that it happened because it was low on gas, so I went to get gas on my way to work. It ran fine the rest of the way in.

Is there anything that I am missing or something else that it could be?

Bad spark and all eight were not fireing.
Maybe the hummidity we have been seeing as of lately just threw something off and all it needed was to run a bit. Hard to say.

All you can do is see if it does it again.

Sounds like you were pretty much running on fumes, I wouldn't be to worried about it. If it happens again, I would look into it more.

Was the car crank over slow?

It turned over fine at lunch. Maybe it just was running on fumes. The pump probably is going, wouldn't be surprised. Its got just over 70k on it. Probably the original pump even, cause I have had the car since 27k.

My '03 Mach 1 only has 20K miles on it. I bought it new, so it obviously it doesn't get driven very much.

I've actually had a similar cold start up issue several times ever since it was new. It's odd, and unexplainable, but it seems like when the weather changes drastically between times it's driven, it starts hard and idles rough for a minute. The dealer had no explanation for it......

In other words, I really do think it's weather or humidity related.

Mine did this before the fuel pump quit completely. It had less than 20k on it at the time.

Once again...see if it happens again. My car has 87k miles on it and is a 1998, and the pump runs fine. If the car goes dead, then u have a problem.
