This is my wife's new vehicle. I never thought I would own two Hondas either, but here we are.

New CRV? I heard they were pretty nice and an upgrade from the previous version. Congrats. :thumb_beer_cheers:

EDIT: Looked closer and realized that it is indeed a mini van, not a CRV. Does it have TV's? If so take me somewhere so I can watch Shrek on a road trip. :)

Yep, it has the rear entertainment system with wireless headphones so I don't have to listen to Sponge Bob, Baby Einstein, and Barney.

The escape doesn't have vtec yo! Or variable cylinder management for that matter.

I don't really see your point? I'm not bashing the Escape or Ford, but the V6 in the Escape gets worse gas mileage and doesn't have near the hp and torque. This really isn't an apples to apples comparison either. The Ford Freestar is rated at 17/23. I test drove the Freestar and there is no comparison. My in-laws have an Escape, which I have borrowed on occasion. It wasn't the right vehicle for us.

The point of posting the window sticker was to point out where the parts for the thing came from and where it was built.

Man, I remember when those first came out. (well the second first came out, not that lemon 2 year run).

I swear we had them more often the the owners did! They were coming in twice a week with problems.

I see they dont require preminum fuel any more. They musthave fixed that problem.

get rid of it before it needs a brake job or any other work. you will get bent over. also make sure you read the warranty terms VERY carefully. alot of these "asian" car companies mandate a schedule that you must follow and pay for check ups etc... or the warranty will be void.

The truth!
Although, they are good brake jobs. They use a device that mounts on the car in place of the caliper and turns the rotors ON THE CAR. So it trues them and turns them. I admit, it a sweet set up.

Prices though........ Horrible. One that sticks out is 580 bucks for a 95 Accord starter.

Did anyone tell you not to run BP gas? Not sure if its been fixed, but BP gas was like hitting a switch to turn on the check engine light. All misfire codes. We were NOT allowed to tell people either. So after they were out of warrenty, they got clipped for about 100 bucks to pulls and clean the codes with no repairs. Huge problem too.

I've had four Hondas, including the two I own now, and the shop down the street has done my brake jobs, timing belts, etc. in the past. Why pay the dealer?

I'm sure that some of the stuff on this is expensive to fix. 7 yr. / 100k bumper to bumper warranty helps though.

The Honda dealership I go to fills up all their vehicles at a BP station.

Their brake jobs really are the best though.

I was pointing earlier that if it didnt happen at the dealer, it didnt happen. Thats all. (the Toyota thread).

You go to Motorcars?
I worked there. They knew the problem, and did it anyway. Think for a minute why.....................

I was reading in my warranty book last night and it clearly stated that you don't have to use a Honda dealer for regular maintenance. They do like for you to have documentation of service you do yourself or outside of the dealership. It's no different than any other car I have owned with a factory warranty.

I go to College Hills Honda in Wooster. They filled up the tank on my Civic and my wife's Odyssey with BP gas and we never had any issues.
