Anyone try the Hoosier DOT Drag Radial tire yet? I have seen them in the Summit Catalog but none at the track that I know of.

I dont think so, I'm pretty sure his are the DOT approved drag radial. I could be wrong, I'm sure he'll see this thread though and chime in.

Thank you for the proper introduction Mikey...
Kurt, I have ONLY positive things to say about the Hoosier DR. I currently have a set of 275/40/17s mounted on a 9" rim, and they hook so well that it actually bogs my car if I don't launch properly. I am sure with some suspension work and better weight transfer I could take full advantage of them, but I am cutting high 1.8 60s with stock suspension and minor bolt ons...keep in mind I am also bogging the car slightly when cutting these 1.8x 60s. Take some more weight out, yank the swaybar off, add some power, and I could probably see 1.6x - 1.7x with ease.
I would be more than happy to let you use them if you would like. If you are looking for an excellent street tire that will grab hard then look no further. Granted my DRs are mounted on a 17" rim with very little sidewall, but I do know that they have excellent street manners. Quite a few turbo terminators are running around with Hoosier DRs as street tires, and apparently they flat out hook and have good manners.

Off Topic: That's another thing Kurt, I really need your help on how to lower this friggin 60 ft. I need to hit an 11 with my current setup before I do anything else to the car mod wise, and I think an 11.9x pass is primarily in my 1.9x 60fts.
Ending of off topic chatter...
