It's time to install the front coil springs on the 67....autozone loaned me a spring compressor that I just could not get to work...but, I may have been approaching it incorrectly...it was the internal type with a pair of hook-like fingers on one end and a fork like plate on the other..I just could not get the spring compressed and tucked into the pocket between the UCA and the shock tower. I have seen two other types of internal compressors out there..the one with the hook-like fingers on both ends and the one that's made by the guy in Texas (available on ebay)...I'd like to be able to install the Spring with the UCA in place...is this possible? has anyone done this? please advise...thanks...

I did it. It sucks. I used the hook style. I did have the upper control arm drop , and I used 1 inch drop springs.

If you are using 1" drop springs you should be able to disconnect the sway bar and your UCA should drop enough for you to slide the spring in. Just my two cents. I've never had to use the spring compressor to install drop springs. If you have done the UCA drop (shelby drop) it should be even easier. If you haven't done that, this is the perfect time to do it. For what its worth.
