Looks great Paul - glad to hear you'll be able to safely stop. The new snail made the brakes necessary :skid:

NICE! Gotta upgrade the grenade on the front of my old notch one of these days too. They beat the hell out of the stock drums 15 years ago, but.....

I hope my kit comes with the Turbine brake prop valve too!

why not go with 03 cobra front setup? it is much cheaper and easier to buy parts and more rotor too it looks like

140+? I dont think those are going to cut it for track days. Even though they are Wilwood, 4 pistons wont cut it at those speeds for long....

i don't think the cobra brakes work with 15" wheels. also, the wilwoods' alum hub and caliper makes it alot lighter than the cobras. plus, i got the kit for under $600.

it's a 4 piston kit.

i hope it does the job at the track. the old junky set up kinda worked, and these are definitely a step up.

Tell me what is different about the 03 cobra brakes over the 94-04 cobras?

So you have the calipers and rotors....What are you going to mount them to?

It isn't a 100% bolt on like a 94-04 GT. Either custom spindles are needed or backets for either the stock V8 Drum spndle, 6 cyl drum spindle, or Maverick/granada spindle. All of which are different....

right. cobra brakes will not work with 15" wheels. 17" minimum. the rotor is 13" alone + caliper height. any you're right that dinner plate of a rotor (cobra) is heavy !

Well the brakes are the same 94cobra -04 cobra For some reason most including me just alway refer to it as 03 stuff

If you buy Loaded calipers they come with the mounting braket then you use one of the adapter brakets from one of a few makers (this is the part I am looking to get made so I can sell it cheaper and save people money. (I am used to fox bodys and this prices on classic stuff pisses me off) Example of the brakets here
http://www.vintagevenom.com/front-disc-mustang-brake-conversion-kit.htm
this is the one I like the most but am going to change a couple thing if I remake it

Also yes these will not fit a 15 in wheel unless you runn a spacer. (if your running big littles the spacer puts the wheel out and helps the looks and I whould bet helps with a little more stable feel) But if you are going that fast I whould thing the 17in wheel giving you a better selection of z rated tires and the added cooling of a 13 in rotor and the fact you can replace warped ones for 25.00 a pop seems like a reason to go this route. But then again I don't like the look of a 8in sidewall ether so I went 17in wheels before most anything.

Don't get me wrong I Love the look of willwood or Baer or Brembo or the side of a caliper just seems like use factory parts is a better route so I asked your thinking on it. maybe you have a point of view I don't
