That was one of the original ways to tell the 99 and the 01 apart (along with the different spoiler). The COBRA lettering didn't appear on the "Cobra's" until 01. The 99 still had the GT rear bumper and V6 hood, just like the 01 had the V6 hood. The 00R had the V6 rear bumper due to the side exhaust and no need for the cut-outs in the bumper. It wasn't until 2003 that the cobra's had specific front and rear bumpers and a cobra specific hood.
On a side note to the OP, nice looking cobra. Good luck with the sale! Stepping down in the cobra world is ok. As I have done it!
thanks for the above explanation. the car now has the cobra bumper on it but all 99's came with the mustnag gt bumper. i now 100% need to sell the car. price is 11,000 for a 50,000 mile, tastefully modded cobra. i think thats a decent deal.

Suggestion: Ditch the year-old pics and put up all fresh ones. I'd probably pass right over an ad with shots showing different wheels, bumper, etc.
G/L, though. Hope your situation improves.
Andy
thanks for the suggestion but i havent even had the car a year but ur right. i took some newer pix the other day an ther in ther too. i dnt think thers that many older ones in the group. just the bumper ones.

No problem. It looked like 2008 dates on some of them.
Someone's going to get a nice car for a nice price.

Wow, that sounds like a GREAT deal, only 160k miles? That's the deal of the CENTURY.
i got offered to trade it straight up for a 4-wheeler as well. people are all thinkin ther gunna get a nice, taken care of, 50,000 miles, 300 hp street car for 6 grand. thats insane.
make offers if u can come close to my selling price. i dont wanna hold onto it much longer. to many tire kickers, annoying ppl tryin to get a cobra like this for 6-7k. as long as ur moderately within reason, ill listen. i dont get mad about crazy offers, they jus make me laugh! i have 1 guy supposedly coming through for me but we shall see.....lemme know!
stiffed yet again. 10500 for a 1999 cobra with basic mods an only 50000 miles. come on now! haha
kinda still for sale. last call. like to sell local!
