Let me start off with saying thanks for letting me be a sponsor and we shall see how it goes. Its should work rather well, i am doing this on several other web sites with great success. (Columbus Racing, Ohio Custom's, Ohio honda's and so on). And the about the only thing i dont do is body work. I have tons of Mustang, Lsx, and just about anything automotive repair wise is not a problem around here.
My Labor rate is normally $65 a hour. but for forum members, there family and friends its $45 a hour. I also have the hook up with 2 other dynos here in town. One is a Inertia loading dyno, that does AWD up to a extended wheel base's. both with ford/ gm tuning abilities.
i'll be updating this top post as i go i figured i would just throw this up for the time being. rather busy around the shop here today.
lets get to the specails!

And any type of repair is not a issue. All full service charge's come with a Vacuum test, new oil and die.And pressure checking and so on.

We have set up a GIFT CERTIFICATE program to help you with the ever taxing dilemma, "What should I get them?" If you have a loved one that doesn't really like the DIY automotive world, or doesn't have the time, how about Pre-Paid Automotive Care? We are now offering any denomination Gift Certificates or if you would rather list a specific service or customization, we can accomodate, as long as we have info on the YMM to get an accurate quote.
We can also take care of Surprise Resto/Custom Upgrades for that special gearhead in your life, like Overhaulin'. We can take care of Diagnostic, Performance/Power Mods, Custom Fab, Repair and Preventative Maintenance tasks in-house, and have established a good network of quality affiliate shops to get involved* and cover all bases.
We have been quite busy lately building a strong roster of quality vendors to get our customers the best deal possible for the products we have come to appreciate. Pace Setter, Cometic, American Racing, DynoMax, Moroso and Wynn's, to name a few. If there is a product you think is great and would recommend, send us a PM, and we will check it out.
In closing, I want to thank everyone that has made our first 2 weeks in the shop quite amazing and we are very grateful. I am working on creating a referral program for our customers that help promote and spread the Gospel According to Gearhead. It will be funny, and rewarding. Stay Tuned! We are now up and running on Myspace (www.myspace.com/gearheadzautomotive (http://www.myspace.com/gearheadzautomotive)), FaceBook (Gear Headz) and we have a few ads in circulars around the Columbus Metro. We are mid-process on the website (www.gearheadzautomotive.com (http://www.gearheadzautomotive.com/)) and Merch (stickers, tees & hoodies)

i'll talk with him and get you some pricing. i normally only offer these service's for customers wanting before and after, pulls and tuning of course.
just for ****s here is a graph from last week, with a customers car.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y196/gearhead559/Shop%20stuff/gearheadzdyno60maro.jpg
pending on car..yes i can get it done. this was rented dyno time( with wideband) , customer had his own tuning software.awd load bearing dyno (only 2 in ohio, that i know of). fox body chipping, and sct software for any of the newer fords (about the best thing out there really IMO, exp for drive by wire stuff) and hp tuners for gm's.
afm1000 wideband with it directly into the exhaust stream(only base runs done on a sniffer setup) adding a bung is extra($40)
i like the load bearing, cause you can get most of your drive-ability figured out before you make a full pull and then during the pull the car is seeing very similar load as it would on the street. I dont do just basepulls unless I am doing work that will require tuning later and I need it.
i'll get more info on this and post it up later. this kind of stuff gets done with closed doors, cause its not on site. i'll get with my dyno guy and see what he says...normally dyno time runs per hour, or flat fee's for tuning etc.

07-09-2009, 02:37 AM
im sure i can do it....hell i have a 40 ford coming down for a complete one off build here this winter...he just needs to make up his mind on what he wants...
but the only swpa into a older chassis i have seen like that was a 03-04 terminator drive line swapped into one, but they had to go mustang 2 front end cause of oil pan clearance and the strut towers just wouldnt let it fit
yeah i think im right on the money

http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/hrdp_0604_1969_ford_mustang_overhaulin_blackened/year_one.html
I have a 1965 and i am doin the samething that you would like to do. I had accquired my brothers 1965 mustang and i also got a 4.6l dohc motor from a lincoln aviator (same as the mach one, wish it was a cobra). Anyways you need to widen the engine compartment by taking out the shock towers and now to do this you need to change the front suspension (http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forums/#), The company i Recomend is www.RRS-online.com (http://www.rrs-online.com/) They have front strut/coil over suspension, brembo brakes, koni shocks, eibauch springs. If you wantto get crazy that is other whise they have a regular disc brake set up and shock. But you need a smaller front suspension as such i do belive fat man fabrications also do have something too. But RRS has a notching kit for the engine compartment, too cut back the shock towers to give you the extra room. Also you will need a steering rack and there are many different types out there but the ones i recommend yet again is the RRS they do have a nice manual/power steering rack and can adapt to any pump you have. Also for engine mount adapters there is a place called DVS Resterations they are in utah i belive if i remember correctly and they have the engine mount adapters for the swop. adapt from the original mount for the 289 to the mounts on a 4.6l. also you need to change the oil pan from a rear sump to a front sump for the steering rack set up. And you can get that from DVS restorations. Also if you want to get crazy as i am you can get a 99-2004 mustang cobra independant rear end susupension/rear end and adapt it to your 65 via items available at dvs resterations. and umm oh yeah if you would like to reprogram your ecm/pcm for the new 4.6 so you dont have to have rear ho2s(cat), evaperative system, and all that other crap. A good place to go to i have yet to experience this but i have talked to them i am just needing the $$ to continue my venturing project but Thedetailzone.com are out of east coast (deleware i belive) and they can make an engine wiring harness for your motor and reprogramm your pcm so you dont have to worry about chipped keys/security emission systems. well anyways if you have any more questions lemme know i am more than willing to help out a fellow mustanger! Also you can get wiring harnesses and pcms out of junk yard cars as i did, just call your local ford dealer with your engine code and they can giveyou the info of what pcm goes with that motor. Shoot now that i think of it i remember you may need a tunnel kit for your transmission if you change it or i htink you may need it for the c4 there is a place in claifornia and the name is ummm lemme think.... and umm its called autowerks, i do have phone numbers to all of these places. if you cant find them.

(normal 127 point inspection is $39.99, and coolant flush's normally start at $49.99)
also working on 4x4 winter prep packages with diff services, chassis lube and so on.
Also would like to add, we now have a trans flush machine in the house.
working on trying to package that, but most cars take different fluids, so with that being said, you may bring your own fluids , i only charge $35.00 plus fluids for a trans flush.
Cometic gaskets in the house as well. pm or call for pricing.

hey, every one goes thru it on a project like yours.. im just trying to keep you from making the wrong choices..can you under stand that? i mean its only money, id just hate to see you spend it twice..granted you could recop some money from selling the lesser parts, but the more expesive stuff dont look so good, if you already spend so much on the cheaper stuff. and i would rather do something once instead of twice! or you buy a bunch of stuff, and find out you didnt really like it or need it, and then you wasted money, that could have been spent better. now that i know its more of a driver, then any track, its harder for me to help you make up your mind...i mean, you can still carve corners with the other stuff, im just trying to think of it from a durability stand point aswell. coming down to the intended use of the car...hell you could go to the drag strip, and get hooked on doing it..then the upr stuff would be right at home

when you are closer to being ready for the install, call the shop, and speak with dana. she can get you a quote.
but spring install's run around 250 plus taxs and mss. and the hid install will mainly depend on the style of the kit. (ie weather or not i have to run extra wiring and so on)
