Says he'll be at the expo in 2 weeks. I could buy it there and save shipping.

Unless they have two different hoods, I don't see how they can advertise 94-04. The front hood-line is different from SN95 to New-Edge.

I'm sure they are, even non ford people pretty much know the difference between the two.

I bought a mach 1 hood for my 90 GT from him, and its AOK. As I recall he and others will be there with fiberglass hoods. Anyone close should patronize this show to keep it great. :skid:

Great, thanks for the input. I've heard too many horror stories about fiberglass hoods that didn't fit right and needed a ton of body work to make them fit properly. IE that whole 6 year long thread on corral about Cincinnati Composites.

Well lets be brutally honest, swap meets allow you to see just what your getting. On the same note, some of this stuff gets hauled around quite a bit, and hence may have some minor scuffs to fix up. If you've ever seen a new factory panel, they to require some paint prep, sometimes extensive, prior to painting. A hood especially is large and cumbersom to haul, and I looked at a lot of different hoods at different shows before I bought one. Basically they all had some handling issues, but considering the cost of paint and labor, a little fix up for a great price is usually worth it. Take your truck and some blankets. Last year one of the show goers lost a steel camaro hood along I-71, cause he thought twine would hold it down on top of his honda! OH, see ya at the swap!

So do you think I should buy the hood from this guy now and pick it up at the swap meet or should I wait and see what is available and the prices there at the meet?

Wait and buy at the meet. Most vendors offer a "swapmeet only" discount on things like hoods.

+1, I chose to get my hood from "another" vendor, and keith can vouch for me that it was far from mint...I went the next week down to Columbus to pick up an H.O. hood and I love it...

buy at the swapmeet, you'll have more choices, and I'll bet they have read some of this listing.:p

I'm gonna get one from HO Fibertrends. They were out what I wanted but they said they'd honor the show price for a month.

I went to HO Fibertrends this morning to get my hood. I can't find words to express my pleasure doing buisness with them. Jim fitted the hood for me and the quality of workmanship is top notch. I took it directly over to my paint guy and even he was impressed with the top quality of the hood. I should get it back tomorrow.
Here is a little camera phone pic I snapped on the way to the painter.
