View Full Version : 1984 T-Top coupe project progress

Well I've had this thing for about 2 1/2+ years now and supposed to be coming back from the body shop next weekend.
I drove this 56K mile V-6 car into my garage and tore it down to pretty much a rolling chasis
I have pics but only one I have now is of the day it was picked up to goto the body shop.
It will be getting a two-tone paint with black on the bottom and dark shadow grey on top with a red pin to seperate

Here's a list of parts I've secured for it. I have everything cleaned painted and ready to start to put back together when she comes home
My goal when I pick it up sat morning is to have the engine, trans, driveshaft and exhaust put on before I sleep on saturday night.

Here's some shots from the body shop today... all jambed... I think maybe not next weekend but the week or weekend after.... we'll see if they suprise me!

Are you going to put the body moldings back on? With an egine setup like that, why don't you buy an electric fuel pump instead of running a mechanical setup?

Thats going to be one sick car when it's done! If you're going to run those black fr500's on it, that will really compliment the car as well.

Looks like it will be pretty sweet when done. You have more patience than I do, when my 86 notch was at that point I pushed it onto someone elses trailer and said goodbye :)

Plans for the future have that lined up... right now I don't have the extra money

I'm working on body moldings now.... kinda hard to find the door moldings if I can't find them I'll just leave the front and rear like so I figure if kj jones in 5.0 mag can do so could I :)

The plan is the fr500's now... I may try to bolt up a set of anny wheels and see what they look like too

Went to check out the car today and was surprised..... I'll have it back next saturday morning and then the fun starts... I won't beable to wish this next week away quick enough..
Engine bay is painted, doors and fenders and front bumper cover are on!!!

a 110 mechanical is more than enough pump. i use to run a 130 mechanical with a 75 shot of n2o.

specs on the cam: 282/286 duration, 609/618 lift, 110 lsa solid roller

More pics to come I've torn the dash back out to swap wiring with a grey one and put the carpet in.... so kinda hard to back it out again right now..

nice ! thats a deep breather, similar to my custom. 286.5/309.5 duration, on a 113.58 lobe sep, .600" on both sides. jeasus, yours sounds wild, mine's going to be nuts ! again, nice car ! it makes me want another 4 eye bad.

The two tone and the mixture of new and older model parts such as the side glass and windows really set the car off. Good example of what someone can do with the older foxes...Great job man!!!
