A normal Ford Racing 4.6 head changing kit will work. It includes head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, oil dipstick, and head studs. However I would talk to Randy Stichcolmb (sp) over on MustangEvolution. He saved me probably $100 on gaskets and such when I did my head swap.

when I went to summit to try to buy them they didn't have them and said there was a huge back order. so I bought mine from jegs. It was 115 I belive. But if you would peice together the parts and just buy the head gaskets and dipstick. It may be cheaper and I could sell you those head studs. But like I said did you get a windsor block or romeo block?? and if you don't know call mmr. Because if you got a romeo block you will need to buy a few new parts so it will work.

well make sure you tell me everything he told you because I still remember everything I had to buy to make it all work. Also are you keeping your stock heads?

Yes im using the heads on my engine now with 65k miles to swap on the new motor. Everything will be swapped to the shortblock off my current engine except new Flywheel,Clutch, timing chain, oil pump, water pump and of course gaskets and the little things. Ill keep everything updated as i find things out.

ok well for sure you will need an oil filter adapter unit. They run like 150-190 bucks. and there is more stuff, but I'm not in the state of mind to think of everything else.
