I am installing a wet kit on my 93 gt 5 speed, with 58k on the clock. I have pulleys, bbk fender mount, walboro 255, shorties, catless h, flowmasters, 3.73, centerforce dual friction. stock cam, heads, and intake (http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?p=7469323#), maf, tb. This car (http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?p=7469323#) is a daily for now.

I have a used wet kit that includes, 10lb bottle w/ safety blowdown tube, all lines, cold fusion (http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?p=7469323#) solinoids, single fogger, msd dig window switch,

1. Is a 100 hit too much? what are the jet size for a 100 shot?
2. do i need a tune?
3. what plugs?
4. what window should i hit?
5. where to mount the bottle?
6. can i run the nitrous line inside the car?

a 100 wet shot will be fine, but you will need plugs (not sure on type since it's a 5.0) and I would set it up for around 3000-5500rpm. I would atleast make sure you have stock timing set on the car and run it on the dyno to get your a/f checked out. Mounting the bottle in the hatch will work. As far as where to run the n2o lines, that's up to you. I wouldn't feel safe running a 900psi+ pressurized hose in the car, even if it's a braided line.

Also, do i need a special jacket or pants to run at the track?

step your plugs down a heat range, verify your fuel pressure, and run it ! you wont hurt anything with a 100 shot. if you are using a window switch bring it on at 3k. hang on, and have fun !

i agree with the reply above me.....1 step colder plug.....and youll be fine run stock timing and you dont need to dyno your car for the air/fuel....its a wet kit it wont lean out.......contact the manufacturer of the kit for the correct jet sizes though just to make sure...........100 shot is nothing.....have fun........and yes you can run the line inside the car....it will be fine...:skid:

well now spray cars at the track do need fire suits and all that.(new nhra rules) heres a tip. when you go thru tech. take the bottle out and tell them your not spraying it.

i have hit a stock 5.0 car it a 180 shot. when setup right, it will love it

p.s. a good copper plug is what you need. i dont go colder. i just make sure i pull 2 degrees of timing for every 50hp of shot. msd digital 6 box is the best way to get both worlds. that way you can still have your dizzy set at 14*. then when you spray, the box will pull timing out!

I would hit it right out of the gate. Fu-k the switch. 150 shot all day. set the timing at 12 if you dont have a tune. I went 11s with that on a stock 5.0 bottom intake cam 24lbs and a maf 3.73 no tune. its a 5.0 not a 4.6

$6.400 short block out the box TFS heads off the shelf cam TFS intake ok may be 8.000 or so but not crazy money. How much you have in valves bob? what about cams? Still more power out of the lil old push rod.

ok, now 684 at the rear is pretty impressive especially w/o a power adder. What cubic inch are you doing this with?

gearhead
05-05-2008, 10:28 PM
648hp (N/A)at the flywheel and its just a 466ci. bad thing was the hp was still climbing at 6400 i told them to stop cause i shift right there. and dont want to push it any harder then that with stock rods, yet. and i have about $3500 in it without the coated headers. i had headers but wanted coated one's :idiot:. they asked me what was in it and i told them. pistons and valve train. they didnt believe me till i pulled the pan off. heads are home ported and i havent even touched the intake yet.i would have dyno'd it in the car but i knew the trans wasnt going to take much of this engine. and it didnt.after the third pass it kept puking trans fluid out the vent, that and every time i shifted under full throttle it wanted to be in the other lane.:( thats why the car is getting a major over haul. but i promise the TT engine will replace this N20 motor. :guitar:

Soooo.......what did that heap run at the track with 648 n/a hp????

gearhead
05-07-2008, 11:11 AM
2.0 60' 11.16 @125 (11.16@125) with the trans slipping bad. never even got a full clean pass on this motor in the car.it trapped 113 in the 1/8 but third gear was just crap. which i kind of figured would happened. after one good burnout at marion the trans started actting funny.
