The main things are (along with other assorted goodies):
Core 2 Duo Wolfsdale E8400 @ 3.0 GHz (will probably overclock it)
Gigabyte Motherboard
512 MB 8800GT Video Card
4 GB DDR2 800 Ram
Fun fun. Yes, there is no status change on the 7.
I just got it all setup today with x64 for now. I'll have to install some games to run at max settings to see what kind of frame rate I can pull off.

Ya G.Skill memory, it's cool because it has this holographic front cover on the package and an F1 car on it.
On a serious note it was rated as some of the best ram on newegg. I got 2x2GB sticks for $80.
I'm running 64-bit XP for now. I had some problems getting the drivers to work, but once I got everything updated I was fine (this is harder than it sounds, as when I updated to SP2 I lost the internetz, so I had to jump back and forth to my laptop to update stuff until everything was working).
Sadly I haven't bought a game in 5 years for the PC so I think I may stop by BestBuy sometime this week and pick something up to see how the system handles it.

Nope, it isn't an SLi board. If I wanted to go with an SLi board it would have been quite a bit more money. I was looking to build the system with the tower for ~1k. It came out to $1120. If I would have went with a pretty good SLi board I was looking more in the range of $1270 or so. I figure that the $150 saved coupled with the money for another video card could just end up getting me a newer better card in a year as opposed to running two older cards SLi'd for the same price.

You can get NoLimits and download some uber-cool rollercoasters and see how well it handles the .3ds files. ;)
