you woudl think with sponsorships and people giving money to the site for a banner with their shop on it they would atleast reply and say give me a few days and we can get back to you. instead of just having you message them and them lettin you hang for a few days or more.

cuz i know the mods come on here almost everyday. and will see it.

this is just my .02 cents.

The admin who was mentioned recently started a new position within his company, and has had many other things going on. It takes several admins to go over stuff like this... chill home slice... people have lives outside of BuckeyeStangs.com

The reason I haven't replied back to Charles was due to a side bar discussion. He will have a reply today. This doesn't just fall on me either. I don't know why Junior said my Username. It gets passed/failed by all Officers.

I think it's wrong that we were denied. In the past we were told by administrators we should sponsor this site so we ask to and are denied. I don't really get it. I feel it is no different than both AHP and Big Shot sponsoring Dragway 42 www.dragway42.com (http://www.dragway42.com) . We were asked if we minded since we were there first, I said no. You can always have a major and a minor sponsorship. I would hope you guys could reconsider. I don't believe it will infringe on Big Shots work as I feel people pretty much know of us both and go where they choose.

Please no making this thread into an us and them thing, it's just my opinion and I only am asking the admin's to reconsider. I'm not looking to infringe on his territory as he sponsors the Mustang Show and other events, just looking to put a banner ad on the site. Money is money.

I agree with him. Just because he is becoming a sponser doesn't mean I'm not going to stop going to keith, because I have had business with him and he treated me very well, so that won't change me going to a different company. It shouldn't be a monopoly of sponsers. I think it's a good thing to have more sponsers to get more opinions.

Sounds to me like somebody is making it personal to me! I have known both Keith@ Big Shot and Eric@ Akron Horsepower for at least 10+ years, in Keith's case, we went to high school together!!! and both of these guys are familiar with how to run their business and put out a good productand/or service to their customers.......Both of these guys heve been to my shop that I worked at in the mid 90s and saw the potential of a fun and (with time) profitabe business!!! Kinda think it is being a little one sided as far as nt allowing AHP to advertise here.......Isn't this website called BUCKEYE STANGS???? I'm sure there is a azz load of these junk mustangs in the state of Ohio, there is plenty to go around guys......so what gives????

Also, I don't favor one shop or the other, truth be told, my car is being done at another shop out of state!!!(StreetlethalPerformance) Only because I have a real good relationship with the owner Terry and Craig who like me, believe that mod motors are the king of the streets!!!!LOL

I know several of the admins, and I can tell you from my personal experience dealing with them they do NOT make decisions based upon personal matters. They try to take any opportunity that can help the club out seriously and proffesionally. I wouldn't still be here for 3 years helping out and volunteering if I didn't have faith in them.

so.....I'm curious, what if one of the other shops that are here in Ohio that offer the same services as AHP & Big Shot decides they wanna advertise here.....will they be turned away like AHP???? In my opinion (and several other people I talked to!) the admins ARE letting the personal crap affect their decision. Are you gonna tell me that Big Shot has sole rites for this website???? Sorry, smells like BS to me!!! Just my .02

You aren't talking to the right people then. This site has turned down 3 local Dyno shops. AHP is not the only one.

I know I should keep my mouth shut, but I don't get it either. I know there's probably more behind the scenes that I'm not aware of, but I think that the members and users of the site, as well as the Mustang community would benefit from having various sponsors. I'd imagine that there are plenty of other dyno shops hours away that wouldn't take away from a sponsors business.
I know I'd like to know who the other Mustang performance shops are in the area, and it would likely generate more interest in all of them. Just my .02 ... I'm prepared to have it given back. :)

You've seen the home page, and how the site sponsors are on there. We've had several sponsors over the past 2-3 years. I know several sponsors have spoken to the admins, and backed out at the last minute. I don't personally care if AH, CRT, or Lasota racing (just to name a few that come to mind) become sponsors.

I know I'm not a admin, or even a moderator for this board. However I understand how a business is ran, and setting up some of these things takes time. Hell.... it took over a month for a request for smiley to be processed (no ones fault), and that's a little thing. Akron Horsepower- If you want to be a sponsor, I'm in favor of it. Obviously you need to keep talking to the admins and come to an agreement. Show enough interest, and I'm sure something will come of it.

If you would like explainations of the decision that was made, please PM any of the admin folks. We will be happy to discuss it with you. There is no personal feeling involved in the decision, it was from a sponsorship point of view.

The decision was made, the subject is closed.

I feel people who visit this site are losing out. We have cars all over the states. I tuned a few car that are out of the U.S. Were not just some off the wall shop, we are one of the big dogs and getting bigger. If they dont want our money or get special prices so be it. Some day not so far from now Iam sure you will be calling me to ask if we will sponsor this site. One thing I will be ready to make all of your cars run better drive better and be an all around much more fun car for less. Thats what I do and Iam proud of that fact. Some day you guys will see that and I will be working on your cars. We didnt get to be as big as we are in the short time we been open because we suck. Just a lil food for thought.

You should create, promote and control your own forum then.

As for the politics behind the decisions here, they owners of this site do not have to disclose anything they do to anyone here.

So if they say no, leave it at that.
