The code can be cleared with a scanner that Auto Zone has for free. You may have a bad ground on the wiring harness the sensor is on.

Would the idle still be rough with the part changed and the code not reset??? Do you need a code reader to reset that or will disconnecting the battery work?? How hard would it be to diag a bad ground?

If that was the only part the computer was throwing a code about, it should have fixed it, and it should idle smoothly, regardless of the code still being on. Maybe it needs a few more key cycles and driving to get used to a good part being there. If the light stays on, you have to have that scanner to erase the codes, and after thats been done, see if it comes back on. If it does theres obviosuly a connection problem, whether it be a ground, or the plug itself, or a wiring gremlin. Just trace the wiring harness through the mess to find the grounds to the body and such, and check them for corrosion and being loose.

Leaving the battery disconnected for about 10 minutes reset the code...Thanks for your help on that issue Kyle..Couple more less pressing questions are....why does the car not seem to want to start with my foot on the brake??? and also this is my first mustang with traction control...how do you turn it off?? I push the button and nothing happens...

The light will turn on if TC is off, if its not turning on, are you sure this car is stock? Usually tuners turn off the button so that TC is always off.
When you say it has a rough idle, is it missing, stumbling, are the RPMs fluctuating? Where did you buy this mustang from?
