I know, I asked this before, but I'm to lazy to go back and look for the post.
Anyway, I'm looking for a good set of lowering spring for my old man's 03 Mach 1. Something where we won't have to put new shocks and struts on the car. Nothing to aggressive, just something to get it down about 1.5-2 inches.
I have heard the Eibach Pro Springs are not good for the car, as they are a rough ride. The Sportline I heard was good to use, but am looking for people to give me opinion.
Thanks

I had Steeda spings in my v6 and loved them,....took it down about 1.5. Any lower then 1.5 and he will need CC Plates. I would Recommend Maximum Motorsports as long as he does not mind drilling out the 4th hole for adjustment. Other wise check out Steeda's 3-bolt kit.

Ive had nothing but H&R's on my cars. At this point, i dont think ill try anything else. Its closer to the 2" drop, but thats what i like about them. Nice stiff ride, but comfortable.

I have the Sportlines, lowered it almost 1 3/4" all the way around, just right IMO. As far as ride, to be honest I'm used to trucks with 38" tall tires and ride like a brick, so it's a nice ride to me..

I've read that with most any aftermarket springs, better dampners are suggested.

Chad, did you replace your shocks and struts too? My old man likes the H&R Sport Springs, but does not want to be spending money on struts and shocks.

I went with bilsteins on the Cobra, and the Saleen already had aftermarket shocks/struts in them.
Didnt the Mach's come with different shocks/struts to begin with? Tokico i believe...

A BIG +1 to that one man... I had the supersports on my old mach1 and I LOVED how it rode and handled. I put the race springs in my cobra and love the ride too. I just like how the H&R's ride better than the eibach's...
another thing you can do is call MM... tell them your goals and ask questions, they won't BS you or try to upsell you at all.
I had ordered the H&R super sports for my cobra, and I got an email from them before the day was out... the tech explained to me that sometimes the rear tends to rise, rather than lower, with the H&R SS on the 2003/4 cobras... its due to the extra weight added to the front suspension. He reccomended the H&R Race springs... and I couldnt be happier!

What shocks and CC plates are you running? Im looking for a 2 inch or more drop.
Which springs are you running? Super sport, race or super race?

Maximum Motorsport C/C plates, bilstein shocks/struts and H&R super sports (no top isolators in the front).

I'm running the Eibach Pro Kit and it's not bad, no better or worse than any other lowered stang i've been in.
I thinking about selling them for some Sportlines soon, if he's interested. I just want to go alittle lower.

I think it's right around 1.5".......you can go to Eibach's website and it'll give you the drop amount for it's springs.
