Well I finally got started on the front suspension delete on my wife's '66 Mustang. It came apart surprisingly easily. I thought something would be rusted solid on this 41 year old car but never found anything like that.
Parts that I am using over, like the upper control arms, I scraped all the road grime off of and sandblasted and painted.
Yes, I am doing a front suspension rebuild, as well as a Granada disc brake swap and power brake booster addition with dual master cylinder. ;)
I am waiting on the special long grease fittings for the upper arm shafts to start putting everything back together.
In the pic you can see one of the new lower control arms with the riveted balljoint on the floor that's going into the car. You can also see behind that the old 6 cylinder 5/8" anti-swaybar. It's being replaced with a beefy 1" bar.
